Not sleeping, just resting her eyes in between thoughts.
Mom had rotator cuff surgery this week. While in the pre-op holding area she enjoyed some of aesthetic medicine's best cocktails and did her best to hold her eyes open, which was a challenge because she's so nosey that she wouldn't let herself go to sleep, and to humor us with lines from our favorite show, The Big Bang Theory. I am not lying when I say that as she was being wheeled off to surgery she looked at the nurse, pointed her finger and said, "I'm in complete control of my own bladder" and then followed it up with a dead on, "I'm Batman."
